Bob Ballinger for Howard County BoE

Now that I am eliminated from the race, I am supporting Bob Ballinger for the Howard County Board of Education. He is an independent voice. He stands up for fiscal responsibility and accountability. He stands for rewarding highly-performing teachers. He is, by far, the best of the six candidates in the General Election. I encourage everyone to support Bob in his candidacy.

Thank You For Your Support! (Plus More)

Unfortunately, the results were not what we were hoping for. We congratulate those that made it into the top six. We also thank the over 3000 voters that chose to cast a vote in my name. It was a great honor.

Now.... we have two very important announcements to make:

Corey Andrews officially and immediately endorses Bob Ballinger for the 2012 General Election. He is an independent voice, and he owes no allegiance to any special interest group, only the people of Howard County. We fully expect him to remain in the top six.

Secondly, expect to see Corey again in two years. He fully anticipates running in 2014.

Election Day Eve

Tomorrow is election day. If you want someone who stand up for students and the community, I am your candidate. If you want someone who will hold our upper-level administration accountable, I am your candidate. If you want someone who will stand up for our teachers who go above-and-beyond, I am your candidate. If you want someone who will stand up for the communities in this county that are under-served, I am your candidate. If you want someone who will answer to you, I am your candidate.

Tomorrow, April 3rd, is one of the most important days of the year. It is critical that all registered voters in Howard County get out and vote. Remember, you CAN vote in the primary if you are an independent. Remember to vote for the Board of Education. While it may seem like a smaller office compared to the President or Congress, being a local body, the Board can affect your family's life more than any other political body. Take a stand. If you want new ideas and new perspective, vote for Corey Andrews for Howard County Board of Education.

Vote For An Outsider

I am one of only a few outsiders in this race. I am one of the few without serious political, partisan, union, or county governmental connections. Almost everyone else, including many of the challengers are connected to these groups. I have nothing personal to gain from this election. I do not intend to use this seat to settle personal grudges as others will. A vote for almost any other candidate is voting for "MOS," more of the same. They all can talk about great things, but in a year or two or three, none of them will come back to you and be able tell you how they've accomplished great things. The pleas of some of the regions in this county will continue to be ignored. It's time for a fundamental change in the way we approach education in this county. I ask you one final time to consider casting a vote for Corey Andrews on April 3rd.
