Where I Stand

Below, you'll see where I stand on the issues:


I SUPPORT building an elementary, middle, and high school in the eastern part of the county.

I SUPPORT providing incentives to teachers who perform at a high level.

I SUPPORT instilling basic values in students to deal with discipline issues.

I SUPPORT more in-depth "English Language Education"(grammar) in English classes.

I SUPPORT involving the public in the appointment of the next Superintendent.

I SUPPORT expanding vocational education.

I SUPPORT expanding Student Member of the Board budgetary voting rights.

I SUPPORT open enrollment (known as school choice).

I SUPPORT entrepreneurship education.

I SUPPORT building inclement weather days into the school calendar.

I OPPOSE stationing "Student Resource Officers"(Howard County Police) in our schools.

I OPPOSE shifting attendance areas west as a way of dealing with overcrowding.

I OPPOSE implementing more standardized testing.

I OPPOSE eliminating middle school reading classes.
